The General Felony Division handles the prosecution of a variety of crimes including: property offenses, drug offenses, white collar offenses and other felony crimes against persons which are not assigned to the Major Crimes Division. In addition, the General Felony Division is also responsible for handling alternative court programs such as Drug Court, Community Sentencing, Anna McBride Mental Health Court and Pre-Trial Release Program. Four Assistant District Attorneys are assigned to the General Felony Division. Those attorneys handle all aspects of prosecuting general felony cases from filing through sentencing. Any post-conviction matters such as accelerations or revocations of sentences which result from probation violations are also handled by this division.
